I am pleased to welcome you to th​e Technology and Innovation Portal of the Ministry of Defense. This Portal serves as one of the tools to support the implementation of the Defense Technology and Innovation Strategy (ETID 2020), the technological strategy of the defense sector that guides research, development, and innovation (R&D+i) actions and investments of the Department, national and international technological cooperation in R&D+i, as well as the continuous improvement of the Department's processes related to the development of technology for defense applications.

Since its launch in 2012, this portal has been a meeting point for all stakeholders involved in the supply (universities, technological centers, small and large companies) and demand (Armed Forces) for technology and innovation in the defense domain. 

The management and content development are overseen by the General Directorate of Armament and Material, through the Under-Directorate for Planning, Technology and Innovation (SDG PLATIN), providing information about various defense R&D+i initiatives and programs, both at the national and international levels. This includes highlighting opportunities for the national technological landscape, the progress achieved, as well as events, news, and publications that may be of interest to the defense community. In addition to these contents, contributions from the defense technological and industrial base are included, offering a space to showcase their most innovative capabilities, making them known to other stakeholders in the defense community.

At present, the original purpose of being a working tool for all members of the national scientific community remains fully valid. Therefore, I encourage all individuals with responsibilities in the field of defense R&D+i to consult its contents and provide feedback so that, together, we can improve cooperation and mutual understanding, always for the benefit of the development of defense capabilities and the growth of the national technological landscape.
